Six international agencies made a donation of 4 billions for encouraging local investments and exportation. World bank, UNDP, IMF… This donation will help the government to reduce poverty and stimulate small business sector.

Tanzanian bord of external trade and the comorian business union OPACO approved the ideas that comorian and tanzania bureau of commerce must increase their exchanges. Thanks to many exchanges, the union of comorian chamber of commerce opened a branch in Dar es salam since january 2009. This bureau will help any tanzanian and comorian entrepreneurs by supplying economic data and marketing surveys and also helping money transfer between Tanzania and Comoros.

Since 2008, Comoros is running negocations with the WTO in order to be a full member. According to WTO, the process could take 5 years and the comorian government is working to adapt its national economic legislation following WTO expectations. This is a part of the investment policy run by the government to attract foreign direct investments – FDI and opening up the islands to the global economy.

Each year comorian migrants from Europe, Africa, America, Asia bring more than 36 billions of comorian franc around 72 millions of euros to the local economy. This represents 24% of the comorian GDP and 360% of the public development aid. All transfers are doing by western union and its competitors and fees could be between 5 and 20% of the total amount. ADB recommends to the comorian government to furnish financial solution such as micro financial institution setting up in the countries which the funds come from. 2 comorian banks are setting up in France where 72 millions of euros are sent by comorian diaspora each year. This solution wants to make easier bank wire between comorian financial institutions setting up abraod and the local micro finance network – Meck.

Since 33 years, China still supports the development of the comoros islands. China was the first country which has set up an embassy at Moroni whith strong diplomatic relations. Chinese Public Development Aid supports the construction of comorian presidential buildings and the national office of tourism: prince Saïd Ibrahim International Airport and local presidential residences in Anjouan,Moheli and Grande Comore. Many actions led by China in administration,health, airway,education, sports, army and agriculture sectors.

During the fourth indian ocean islands economic forum, Sharjah and Moroni reinforced their economic cooperation by:
- creating free zones taxes
- encouraging bilateral investments
- developing maritime transportation
- creating strong partnership between United Arab Emirat – Union of Comoros
The comorian Union chamber of agriculture, industry and commerce and the emirati delegation led by Muhamed Sultan Ben Huwayidini, vice-président of sharjah delegation and Omar Ali Saleh et Hachim Houssein Ali CEO of Landmark Building Construction. Sultan Ben Huwayidini offered a gift to the comorian chamber of commerce.
